A 4.9 second occultation was recorded by Brian Loader at Darfield on the South Island of New Zealand while misses was recorded by Bill Allen and Graeme McKay further north at Blenheim.

Discussion:

Brian's observed chord is placed centrally of the DAMIT shape model for (639) Latona. Graeme and Bill's observations are not sufficiently close to Brian's to constrain the placement of Brian's observation.
