Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 352 km diameter of Europa. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Bill was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the close to maximum expected chord of about 352km would suggest that the chord might lie very close to the central portion of the asteroid. The Damit 3D model has been overlaid on the measured chord and shows good fit to a circle however with only 1 chord we cannot be sure of the chord position.
