Discussion:
The ellipse above is plotted at the best fit to the observations. The 171:82km ratio may seem very high. However earlier occulation observations have reported chords above 150 km. An observation with two chords 2004 Septekmber 30 in Europe gave a ratio of 153:110 km and an observation with 9 chords 2005 June 5 in Japan gave a ratio of 145:130 km and a single chord by John Broughton 2007 January 27 measured 151 km.

It is fair to say if this was the only report we would not be confident of the result.

Our interpretation, there was a cloud event lasting about 20 secs, with
the occultation occurring on the rise-section of the cloud event.
