A 2.5 second occultation was recorded by Graeme McKay, using video technique.

Two clearly observed misses were recorded for this event.

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 66 km diameter of Venetia. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Graeme was north or south of the central line of the event.

The figure below shows the Tangra light curve of the occultation.

Peter Graham observed the event and his path is very close to the northern edge of Venetia if the circle is drawn to the North of Graeme's chord but the only dip in Peter's light curve is just 2 samples long and is tens of seconds later so his observation has been treated as a miss and sadly does not help to constrain the position of Venetia.
