Hohensteina occultation - 2009 April 10

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 104 km diameter of Hohensteina. Unfortunately, the long integration times result in material error bands for the times and prevent any useful ellipse fit or revised estimate of the diameter, so a circle fit has been used. It is however clear that the path was a little south of the predicted line.

Comments: Observing location selected was close to predicted central occultation path.
Faint star required integration of 16 frames to ensure reasonably stable image.
This has reduced the accuracy of observation.
