Freia occultation - 2008 January 03

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 183 km diameter of Freia. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Bill was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the shorter than expected maximum chord of about 100 km would suggest that the chord might lie about +/- 80km from central portion of the asteroid.
